Improving Your Study Skills Effectiveness
When taking on a writing career, while working from home, it is important to fine-tune your skills. The more skillful you are in writing, the more pay you will be able to bring into the household.
Before looking for work from home in the writing field, gain some basic knowledge concerning the process. You may feel overwhelmed if you are new to this, and the feeling is normal.
Make sure that you are comfortable when you study. I was one of those people that absolutely hated sitting at a desk, and instead lay on my bed with the ‘write my admission essay material’ on the floor. Sure it was a little unconventional, but the extra comfort I found really enhanced my learning.
On Friday, I’ll begin by reviewing and revising Thursdays work on chapters 8 and 9. Then I’ll write chapter 10. The concluding chapter follows this. This chapter is always half the size of the preceding chapters. I will do a very quick review of my feelings about the book to this point, and then write the introduction. Again, the introduction is really only a half the size of the other chapters. At this point, I usually take a break which may last an hour or so or may last for the rest of the day.
Set an example: When you show that you enjoy learning and reading new material and are willing to put in the effort, your teen s are likely to follow. Be sure to let your teens see your enthusiasm for learning.not your pressure to learn something new in order to retain your job. Demonstrate to your teen that learning is a natural part of life.
You may have hated writing in school. I know I did. I hated writing book reports, essays, and thesis’. It wasn’t until I was in the 10 grade that my English and Science teachers brought me in for a conference. I wrote a biology report that shocked them. They thought I cheated and wanted to know who wrote it.
And the next principle is use the principle of imagination. Try to use the new vocabulary in new ways. Try to use it in novel ways, and ways that apply to you and your own situation. And now enough theory, lets start to talk about how to really study vocabulary!
Do whatever you like with your writing afterwards – carry it around with you, store it somewhere safe, or throw it out. Each action will make an impact on how you mentally ‘tag’ the piece of writing. Is it to be cherished? Is it important? Do you want it out of your life?
I challenge you to think a little deeper. Is it that you want to show your readers that they really are capable of doing things that they might not have thought they could? Maybe you want to empower your readers with a sense of self-accomplishment.
Distance study is about personal growth. Even if you feel you’ve made the wrong choice and you want to withdraw from the course, think about the positives you can take from what you have learnt.
Driving: This is a topic I’ll handle in a separate post because I believe it deserves full coverage. But I will say this-local news recently covered the story of a teenager who was driving along at about 50 mph and in a two minute period responded to 2 text messages, One minute later he drifted across the road’s centerline and hit head-on an on-coming car travelling at about the same speed. That’s like hitting a brick wall at 100 mph. The other driver died instantly and the teen is charged with 2nd degree homicide. The courts are at odds about enforcing such a serious charge for a motor vehicle accident, but the prosecutor says it was no accident. In any case, the teen is facing a very long time in prison. So much for college and/or a good job.
